These terms apply to all work carried out by Mark's Gas Safety ("we", "us") and to the use of marksgas-safety.com. By booking work with us, you agree to these terms.

1. Quotes

Quotes are free and valid for 30 days. A quote covers only the work described in it. If we find something unexpected once work has started, we'll explain it and agree any extra cost with you before going ahead.

2. Payment

Payment is due on completion of the work unless agreed otherwise in your quote. For larger jobs, such as bathroom installations or new boilers, we may ask for a deposit to cover materials. We accept bank transfer and other methods agreed at the time of booking.

3. Out-of-hours call-outs

An out-of-hours call-out fee applies to emergency visits. If you go ahead with the repair, the fee is deducted from the cost of the work.

4. Cancelling

If you agree a job with us at your home rather than at our premises, you have the right to cancel within 14 days without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you ask us to start work within those 14 days and then cancel, you'll pay for any work already carried out and materials ordered. To cancel a booked appointment, please give us at least 24 hours' notice.

5. Access and safety

Please make sure we can safely access the work area and that there's clear working space. If we find an appliance or installation that is unsafe, we're required by Gas Safe rules to make it safe. This may mean disconnecting it and labelling it, and we'll explain why.

6. Guarantees

All our workmanship is guaranteed. New boilers and parts carry the manufacturer's own warranty, which we'll register for you where needed. The guarantee doesn't cover damage from misuse, accidents, or work carried out by anyone else.

7. Our responsibility

We carry full public liability insurance. We're not responsible for faults in existing pipework or appliances we haven't worked on, or for delays caused by events outside our control, such as part shortages or bad weather. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

8. Complaints

9. Using this website

We keep the information on this website as accurate and up to date as we can, but it's for general guidance only. Prices and offers shown may change. All text, photos and graphics on this site belong to Mark's Gas Safety and may not be copied without permission. How we handle your personal information is set out in our privacy policy.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
